You and I, Horizontal III: Anthony McCall | SOLO SHOW

Anthony McCall is famous for his seminal « solid-light » film installation of 1973, « Line Describing a Cone ». In the following few years, he went on to explore parameters of a new kind of sculptural installation based on projected light, structure, and an active spectator.

Those works included : « Long Film for Four Projectors (1974), « Four projected Movements » (1975) and « Long Film for Ambient Light » (1975).

The current exhibition is pleased to present a new two projector light installation : « You and I, Horizontal III » and a series of new installations and off- site developpment drawings of works in progress. Also on view are three important early works, including the photo series « Watertable » (1972) ; and films of the performances « Landscape for White Squares » (1972), « Earthwork » (1972), and « Five-Minute Drawing » (1974).
