Echolalia: Marianne Mispelaëre | SOLO SHOW
For her first solo exhibition with the gallery, Marianne Mispelaëre has chosen to work with the disappearance of languages.
Languages make us see. That which we speak conditions our view of the world: as a system, it determines a specific way of understanding our surroundings, it influences our ability to think and act. Language is not only a tool for communicating, but it is also an active filter, which gives a tone to reality, a point of view.
Echolalia involves repetitive speech behavior. By this title, the exhibition reduplicates the works and the actions.
