Throes: Anthony McCall | SOLO SHOW
The Martine Aboucaya Gallery is proud to present Anthony McCall's third solo show.
The English artist, who lives and works in New York, will present a new volumetric, solid- light installation, « Throes », which will be on exhibition from Wednesdays to Saturdays.
The artist will also show a series of drawings whose starting-point is the shifting, the mutating and the 'ellipse-wave' shapes of the projected installation.
The gallery is also pleased to announce the French premiere of Anthony McCall's « Line Describing a Cone 2.0 », a recently completed re-make of his seminal 1973 piece, « Line Describing a Cone ». This is not a copy of the original film-version, but rather a completely new, digitally-produced animation. While retaining the structure and pacing of the original, this new 'perfect' version now exists in contrast to the hand-made properties of the original film.
