Since 2005, Claire Morel has reedited and redesigned books as she reimagines them. Her method of reworking the components that make up a book changes the perception of the linearity, uniformity and codification, which have gradually become entrenched in literature and its material supports.

Morel effectually undermines the tradition of how we read books to make her viewer realize that the book is a work that, like any work and any object, is also governed by its size, weight and composition.

Born in 1980, Claire Morel lives and works between Paris and Mulhouse.
